Schools and their catchment areas

There are currently 63 state-sector schools in Wokingham Borough. These include:

  • Local authority maintained schools - community, voluntary aided and voluntary controlled schools
  • Academies
  • Free schools 

Designated or "catchment" areas

Most schools have a designated area which has highest priority for admissions. However parents can apply for places at any school suitable for their child even if they do not live in this designated area.
