Food safety

Wokingham Borough comprises of approximately 800 registered food premises which are regulated by our Environmental Health team. This includes:

• Food manufacturing businesses

• Wholesalers

• Retailers 

• Food businesses that operate from domestic premises    

What do we do?

• Regulate all food business within the borough ensuring the safe production and sale of food

• Communicate the dangers of diseases - including food poisoning

• Promote health initiatives

• Give free advice to new and existing food businesses in regard to food hygiene and safety matters

• Investigate food complaints of food purchased or manufactured within the Borough of Wokingham

• Undertake routine sampling on behalf of the Food Standards Agency and Wokingham Borough Council

Scores on the Doors
