Reporting an incident or emergency 

Within Wokingham Borough Council area, a crime or an emergency should always be reported to Thames Valley Police on the following contact numbers:

For emergencies always call 999

In an emergency always call 999. It is an emergency when:

  • a crime is being committed
  • there is a risk of injury
  • there is a risk of serious damage to property

 

Non-emergencies - 0845 8 505 505

Use this number to report a non-emergency crime or to give information to Thames Valley Police.

Call0044 1865 841148 to contact Thames Valley Police from outside of the United Kingdom.

Report online - If you prefer non-emergency crimes or incidents can be reported using Thames Valley Police’s non-emergency reporting form.

Textphone users - 18000

This number enables the deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired to contact the emergency services using textphones.

How to use Text Relay, the UK’s text to voice relay service

Deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired people can use the Royal National Institute for Deaf people (RNID) emergency SMS service to make emergency contact by text message (SMS) to the Thames Valley Police.

Confidential anti-terrorist hotline

Use 0800 789 321 to report something suspicious or if you’re unsure about someone’s behavior. Call 999 in an emergency.
