Am I eligible for free garden waste collection?
From 1 April 2012 green waste collection will be available to all residents in the Borough as an opt in chargeable service green bags will no longer be collected.
Until then you can still obtain an extra bag free of charge if you are eligible on the current scheme
Find out by doing the following:
- Enter your postcode in the Address Search, below, and click on the ‘Search’ button.
- Click on your house number
- It will say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ next to ‘Are you eligible for green waste collection?’
Grass cuttings, weeds, leaves, garden clippings
Garden waste will only be taken in the Wokingham Borough Council official green bags.
Christmas tree recycling and green waste Christmas collections
Fortnightly collections - there will no green waste collections during week starting December 26th and January 2nd
Chistmas trees can be cut in to manageable size bits and left with your green bag, taken to one of the local tips or you can take your Christmas trees to be recycled on 14 January to:

If you are eligible, you can order a free green bag.
All green waste bags are 90 litres.
When will my garden waste be collected?
Garden waste bags are collected from the kerbside every fortnight on the same day as rubbish collections and the opposite week to black box recycling collections.
If you are in week 'C' your garden waste will be collected on your normal day in week 'A.'
