Christmas recycling

How to recycle Christmas items

Christmas cards

Many charities collect these for fundraising. Sainsburys and Marks and Spencers collect them for Woodland Trust. If the card is made out of paper you can also put it in your recycling box.

Wrapping paper

If it is non metallic it can be put in your recycling box. If it is metallic it must be put in your blue bin bag.

Christmas trees

If you are part of our garden waste scheme you can cut your tree up and put it in your brown bin or brown sack.

If you are not not part of our garden waste collection scheme take any trees to the tips / recycling centres. See tips / recycling centres for opening times.

Unwanted presents

All donations are welcomed by charity shops.

Food waste

Food waste can be composted. Find out more at the get composting website where you can purchase a composter at a discounted rate.
