Details of the work

We have contracted Balfour Beatty to carry out vital works to strengthen the embankments of the bridge over the A329(M) after ongoing movement over the last 30 years.

The work will involve drilling out an original retaining wall and inserting steel piling (interlocking panels to form a continuous sheet wall). We will also be installing safety barriers and resurfacing the road and pavement.

Access to local businesses

Dinton Pastures and local businesses remain open as usual. You will still be able to walk and cycle over the bridge.

Updates

We expect the work to take up to 7 weeks, but we will provide regular updates as the work progresses.
