Below is a timetable detailing the various stages of the examination process that were carried out prior to the adoption of the Wokingham District Local Plan. At the bottom of the page is a copy of the Local Plan Inspector's reports and the Council's reponse to these.

3. Consideration of Inspector's Reports
Part 1 Inspector's last recommendation on the Urban Capacity Study was considered by the Environmental Services Committee on 11 September 2000. The other Part 1 Inspector's recommendations were considered by the Environmental Services Committee on 19 March 2001
Part 2 Inspector's Report was considered at an Executive Meeting on 4 December 2002 and the Council agreed its response. The following supporting documents were also considered at 4 December 2002 Executive: Inspector's Addendum to his Report on Local Plan, Urban Capacity Study, Resolution of Housing Land Supply deficit following Urban Capacity Study, Principles of Settlement Classification, Housing Site Assessment – Approach, Housing Site Assessment - Site Details.
The Executive on 4 December 2002 agreed to make Modifications to the Local Plan to reflect the recommendations of the Inspector's, and to update the Plan.
4. Modifications Advertised February to March 2003
The public consultation on the Proposed Modifications ran from 5 February to Wednesday 19 March 2003. The Council's Executive considered all the comments on the Proposed Modifications on 31 July 2003.
5. Further Modifications Advertised August to October 2003
The public consultation on the Further Proposed Modifications ran from 27 August to 8 October 2003.
6. Consideration of Comments on the Further Modifications
The Executive on 29 January 2004 considered all the comments on the Proposed Further Modifications. It agreed that no additional modifications should be made to the Plan. Furthermore, at the Council meeting on 29 January 2004, the members agreed to adopt the Local Plan.
7. Adoption of the Plan
Adoption of the Plan occurred on 11 March 2004 in line with the decision of the Council to adopt on 29 January 2004.
