Consultation on the Managing Development Delivery DPD runs from 27 June to 4pm on 22 August 2012. Please do not make representations before the start date or after the end date as they cannot be considered.
What is the consultation about?
The Managing Development Delivery:
- Allocates sites for housing and other types of development in the Borough
- Includes policies that will be used to help determine planning applications and
- Sets boundaries, including development limits (settlement boundaries)
It also seeks comments on the criteria that should be applied when selecting housing sites, outside of Strategic Development Locations, to meet the Borough's housing requirement until 2026.

At this stage, comments can only be made on the 'legal compliance' or 'soundness' of the MDD DPD. Various supporting documents including Questions and Answers, which explains the purpose of the MDD DPD and how to respond are also available and can be viewed below. There is also a Microsoft Word version of the ‘Response Form (which includes guidance note)’ that explains what is meant by 'legal compliance' and 'soundness'.
How to comment
Comments should explain in what way/s the MDD DPD is considered to be unsound and what change/s would need to be made to make it sound. Comments are also sought on the Sustainability Appraisal (including Strategic Environmental Assessment) and the Habitats Regulations. A Response Form relating to these issues can be found below.
