Managing Development Delivery Development Plan Document (MDD DPD)

What is the Managing Development Delivery Development Plan Document?

The MDD DPD will be the borough’s second development plan document and will provide a greater level of detail about how the vision in the borough’s adopted Core Strategy will be delivered in practice.

Small housing development

What will it look at?

The MDD DPD will do a number of things including:

  • Further implement the Core Strategy vision by including policies to ensure that development proposals respect the character and build upon the attractiveness and features of the area.
  • Identify areas of land for small to medium housing developments, commercial development and community facilities.
  • Set settlement boundaries (development limits) around the borough's settlements and town and village centres.

Where can I find more information about the land identified for development?

You can find a list and further details of the sites that have been suggested to the Council for future development on the sites suggested page.

Our interactive mapping system also provides an overview as to the location of the sites that have been suggested to us.

Where can I find out about the progress of the Managing Development Delivery DPD?

The latest news on the MDD DPD will be updated in the 'What's happening' box at the top of this page. You can also keep informed of the expected progress of this document by looking at the 'Managing Development Delivery timetable' page.
