The Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document was adopted on 2nd June 2011.

About the document

The Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) supports the Council's policy in the Wokingham Borough Core Strategy (policy CP5) for delivering affordable housing. This includes further information on:

  • The requirement of affordable homes provision as part of residential and commercial developments
  • The design, distribution and phasing of affordable housing
  • Types and sizes of affordable homes
  • Financial considerations in delivering affordable housing

Consultation

We asked for your views on the Draft Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document between the following dates 20 December 2010 and 5pm on 31 January 2011.  

We also asked your views from 7 February until 5pm on 28 February 2011 on the draft conclusion that the Affordable Housing SPD did not need a Strategic Environmental Assessment.
