Employment land use policies and the Local Development Framework
The Local Development Framework (LDF) will eventually replace all of the policies within the Local Plan, including those relating to employment land use. However the way in which the LDF is structured, as a folder of planning documents, means that there will be a period of overlap whilst these documents are being prepared.
For the time being, where a saved policy has not been replaced by one within the LDF, this will remian valid. Details of those policies that have been replaced by the Core Strategy (adopted on 29 January 2010) are detailed below:
Policies replaced by the Core Strategy (January 2009):
1) CP11: Proposals outside Development Limits replaces:
2) CP16: Employment Development
-
WEM2: Development in Core Employment Areas
-
WEM12: Temporary use of buildings presently in employment use
-
WEM13: Mixed use premises and working from home
-
WEM14: Alternative uses for land and premises with a committment for or in existing B1 - B8 use.
