Borough Design Guide Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)

A consultation on a replacement Borough Design Guide SPD took place between 21 December 2011 and 15 February 2012. The replacement was adopted on 31 May 2012.

The Interactive Borough Design Guide replaces the Design SPD adopted by the Council on 18 February 2010. The earlier versions are below and will be archived in due course.   

Even though the Wokingham Borough Residential Design Guide and many of the Village Design Statements were already adopted, we needed to update these documents to reflect up to date policies and bring them in line with new planning regulations. By doing this the Council has ensured that the Borough Design Guide and Village Design Statements continue to have weight in planning decisions.

The Borough Design Guide adopted on 31 May 2012 replaces the Design SPD adopted by the Council on 18 February 2010. The Village Design Statements remain as material planning considerations and can be viewed below:
