The statutory consultation on the SPDs has now finished. Thank you to those who contributed. Your views are important and will be taken into account. The main points made will be summarised in a statement together with an explanation of how the Council intends to address them. We are likely to seek formal adoption at the end of September 2011.

Following the resolution of the Council’s Executive on 2 June 2011, the statutory consultation for the 5 SDL SPDs and the emerging Managing Development Delivery was between 15 June and 27 July 2011. This consultation has now closed.”

Copies of the SPD documents, the SPD matters and the Sustainability Appraisal incorporating a Strategic Environmental Assessment (and non-Technical Summary) are available below.
Hard copies of the SPD and SA(SEA) documents have been sent to all libraries in the area, together with Crowthorne Library and to the Town and Parish Councils for the area or adjoining the SDLs concerned. Please contact those bodies to confirm opening times and where the documents will be displayed. The SPD’s and SA(SEA) will also be sent to the major supermarkets within the Wokingham Borough Area (and the NAAFI at Arborfield Garrison) with a similar request for them to be displayed during the statutory consultation period.
Making comments about the SPDs or other documents
Adoption of the SPDs
The Regulations require that theCouncil, as local planning authority will not adopt any of the SPDs until:
- It has considered any representations made in accordance with the above requirements
- Has prepared a statement setting out a summary of the main issues raised in these representations, and
- How these main issues have been addressed in the SPD which they intend to adopt
The summary and how those main issues have been addressed will be set out in a Statement of Consultation prepared in accordance with the relevant Regulations.
