What is Supplementary Guidance?

Planning guidance are documents which further explain policies contained in our adopted development plan. Supplementary guidance may relate to how policy relates to a specific site or area, or be topic based, and are a material consideration when deciding planning applications.

Most types of supplementary guidance are subject to consultation when being prepared, in accordance with our Statement of Community Involvement.
