Ranger led activities

Countryside Rangers can be booked to lead your visit at Dinton Pastures Country park. The most popular topics for study are ponds, minibeasts, flowers, rivers and orienteering. Each ranger-led visit includes a pre-visit, where you can plan exactly what you want from your trip. The costs also include the use of an education room - Emmbrook Room - and equipment. See a list of our ranger led activities, below.

Pre-school activities

Our programmes are aimed mainly at primary schools. We can also cater for pre-schools groups to do minibeasting, sensory games and walks and stories in the Park.

Secondary school activities

The programmes can be specifically upgraded to suit the requirements of Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. There are also opportunities for secondary school students to take part in practical habitat management or volunteer days.

Activities in bad weather

If the weather is poor, activities will be made up of a combination of indoor and outdoor work. In severe weather conditions we reserve the right to cancel the activity session. Children and adults need to come properly dressed for the weather conditions.
