Ranger and teacher led activities available
We offer ranger-led activities and teacher-led activities. If you are planning a visit, please let us know, as this helps keep track of how well the site is used for education and avoids clashes between groups.
Book a visit
All school visits need to be booked in advance. If you have booked a Ranger you will also need to arrange a pre-visit which should take place one month before the date of your visit.
Prices
Prices are based on having one Ranger per class. We can comfortably accommodate 2 classes per visit. Under special circumstances we can accommodate 3 classes.

- There is a minimum fee of £50
- Half day = 1 to 2 activity sessions with a Ranger eg. 10am to 12 noon.
- Full day = Can be up to 3 activity sessions however 2 activity sessions can include more in-depth coverage of the subject and a greater range of activities eg. 10am to 2.30pm.

We are within walking distance of Winnersh Station which can cut coach costs for your visit.
- Hall hire for visits that are not Ranger led: £12.50 per hour during the week
- Equipment hire: For schools who are not having Ranger led packages - £15
Waste-free lunch competition
Schools visiting Dinton Pastures are set a challenge to reduce the amount of rubbish they generate from their packed lunches. After lunch the rangers weigh all the non-recyclable waste. The school with the least amount of waste wins a prize worth up to £50.
