Work on the planning application for the Arborfield Cross Relief Road began in late 2015 and we aim to submit an application in early summer 2017. Significant survey work has been undertaken including ecology, groundwater, archaeology, geotechnical and tree surveys to inform the Environmental Impact Assessment. Further transport modelling has also been undertaken to inform a Transport Impact Assessment.
We have spent time engaging with landowners, the parish council, key stakeholders and user groups including the Local Access Forum to develop the design, including the provision of a green bridge for pedestrians and wildlife for a footpath that crosses the new road (PROW AR17.)
We will be holding pre-planning exhibitions to update the public on the following dates at the cafe in the Henry Street Garden Centre, Swallowfield Road, Arborfield, RG2 9JY
- Tuesday 13 June 2017 (11am to 5.30pm)
- Wednesday 14 June 2017 (2pm to 8.30pm)
- Saturday 17 June 2017 (9am to 1pm)
The Exhibition boards will remain on display at the Henry Street Garden Centre until 30 June 2017 along with copies of the Exhibition Leaflet. Please note that the content of the boards and leaflet is identical. If you are unable to attend one of the Exhibitions, a copy of the exhibition material is below.
We would like your feedback on the updated proposals, which will be summarised in the Statement of Community Engagement submitted as part of the application. Please take a few minutes to complete our online feedback questionnaire.
Once a planning application has been submitted, the planning reference will be added to this page and formal comments on the application can be made to the Council via the online planning comments page.
