Concessions

Certain customers may receive concessions on some library charges.

Concessions for blind or partially sighted people

Customers who are blind or partially sighted receive the following concessions:

  • Free CD and cassette loans

  • Half price DVD loans

  • No charge for overdue items

 

Other eligible concession groups

The following groups receive a concession on overdue charges, on production of the relevant documentation:

  • State pensioner

  • Registered disabled

  • Over-18 in full-time education

  • Blind / partially sighted

  • Unemployment benefit or income support

State pensioner Proof of date of birth, e.g. driving licence, passport
Registered disabled Disabled parking badge or doctor's letter
Aged over 18 and in full-time education Letter from course manager or admissions tutor confirming full-time status
Blind/partially sighted Doctor's letter
Receiving unemployment benefit or income support Official letter from Benefits Agency
