Library resources

Our libraries offer the following resources to help with schoolwork, homework and learning:

  • Information books and study guides

  • Reference books always available

  • Various encyclopaedia

  • Local studies collections

  • Newspapers and magazines

  • Staff to help answer questions

  • Computer facilities - internet access, Microsoft Office and printers

 

Online resources

Our library catalogue will let you search for books on a particular subject. It also has an Online Reference page with free access to online reference materials, including Encyclopaedia Britannica, Oxford Art and Music online and Issues online. You can access these in the library and also at home or school - you will just need to put in your library number to use these pages.

Homework Elephant  Homework help.
Learn.co.uk  Managed by The Guardian, this is one of the largest learning resources on the web, useful for homework or revision.
SAM Learning  Online exam revision, endorsed by the National Association of Head Teachers The site covers 27 subjects across SATs, GCSEs and A-Levels, and is based on the National Curriculum - interactive courses prepared by professional examiners and teachers.
Topmarks  For teachers, pupils and parents. Good lists of educational web sites, organised by age and subject.
