Charvil Meadows - 8 hectares
These traditionally managed meadows border the River Loddon and are subject to periodic flooding. In the past they have been used for hay cropping and grazing, both of which enhance the richness of the sites flora and the diversity of its species. Management of the site is continuing through a similar regime to protect the wildlife value of the site.
This area of open space is important to local residents and is part of the Borough's natural heritage. Walkers are welcome and there is a footpath link between Twyford and the River Thames.
Access
The meadows are only accessible on foot via Old Bath Road and Edwards Road, Charvil. There are no parking facilities.
