We have, along with the Wokingham and District Citizens' Advice Bureau, produced this booklet about staying safe and secure in your own home.
 
About the Safe and Sound booklet
 
It covers a range of matters from doorstep sellers and bogus callers to choosing a reliable tradesman.  It tells you of your rights as a consumer including misleading prices in shops, junk mail and telephone calls and bogus competitions.

There is also information on your own personal safety such as mobility goods, reducing your risk of having a fall, contacting Social Services and Safeguarding vulnerable adults from abuse. Security in the Home in addition to Fire safety.

Included are some useful voluntary sector contacts such as Citizens' Advice Bureau, Age Concern, Help the Aged and Consumer Direct.
