Other sources of information on safeguarding adults

If you need any more information regarding the safeguarding of vulnerable adults a number of online resources are available.

  • STRIVE - Standards Training Resources Independent and Voluntary Employee is a project that has been running for 5 years, previously across the 6 unitaries.  Now embedded in the Human Resource Development team at Wokingham Borough Council, the project provides support and advice to the Private, Independent and Voluntary Care organisations within Wokingham boundary, and or hold a contract with Wokingham Borough Council and fall within Berkshire.  Organisations that meet the criteria also have access to funded training events relevant to the sector. A website is under development.  Please note that you will require a password and user name to access this resource.  Contact Julie Wickens, STRIVE Co-Ordinator, Telephone: 0118 974 6746, email: julie.wickens@wokingham.gov.uk.
