West Berkshire Citizen Advocacy Service

Webcas logo
West Berkshire Citizen Advocacy Service, known as WEBCAS, is a charity with offices in Wokingham and Thatcham. It was set up in 1993 to support adults with a learning disability who had moved from Waylands and Borocourt Hospitals into homes within their local community.

Since then the service has grown, and now also supports other people with a learning disability living in the Ravenswood Village, Crowthorne and throughout the Berkshire community.

What do they do?

WEBCAS provides different types of advocacy, which is about taking action to help people say what they want to say, uphold their rights, make sure they are listened to and get the services and support they need.

The WEBCAS team will support both volunteer advocates and clients as much as they can.
