Let our scooters do the walking

Wokingham Town Mobility (WTM) based at the Volunteer Centre, The Ritz Plaza 10 Denton Road Wokingham, aims to help anybody with walking difficulties get around Wokingham town centre with greater ease:

WTM are keen to help people who cannot afford their own scooter or who are unable to store one at their home. You don't need to be a Blue Badge holder or a Wokingham resident to use the scheme

 How the scheme works:

  • Members pay a small membership fee to join which lets them book a scooter as often as they like - weekdays only

  • It is then delivered to you either in the town centre or to your home if nearby
  • When you have finished using the scooter, it will be collected at a previously agreed time and place

To register for the scheme call Tracey Hedgecox on 0118 977 0332 or email: wokinghamtownmobility@googlemail.com.

A meeting will be set up to talk through your needs, answer your questions and then an appointment is made to show you how to operate the scooter safely.

Assistance will be offered on which are the safest routes around Wokingham and if you need help to start with, you will be accompanied until you feel confident using a scooter independantly.
