The Disability Rights Commission is no more

On the 1st October 2007 the Disability Rights Commission became amalgamated into the Equality and Human Rights Commission - EHRC.
 
The EHRC will bring together the work of the three previously existing Commissions,
 
  • The Commission for Racial Equality - CRE
  • The Disability Rights Commission - DRC 
  • The Equal Opportunities Commission - EOC
 
The only Committee created within the EHRC will be for Disability, the Chairperson is currently Baroness Jane Campbell,.
 
An archived website for the DRC is still available for information purposes.
 
A regular newsletter, the Equality News, is now available from the EHRC which provides up to date information of the Commissions activities.
