Youth Offending Service

The Youth Offending Service (YOS) has a statutory duty to prevent offending and re-offending by young people. This duty is achieved through the provision of a wide range of services to young people, their carers, victims of crime, Courts, and the local community. In particular, the YOS is responsible for the management of risks presented by, and to, young people in Wokingham.

What does the Youth Offending Service do?

The Youth Offending Service works with all young people, aged 10-18, who have been sentenced at Court to and require some form of intervention. If you wish to speak with the YOS about a young person who is subject to a Court Order, then please contact 0118 974 6672.

The YOS also seeks to engage on a voluntary basis with young people (aged 8-18) who are at-risk of becoming involved in offending behaviour. This is provided through the YOS Early Intervention Service.
