Wokingham Out of School Hours network - WOoSH - was formed in January 1999. It is a support network for out of school hours clubs who serve children in our area aged between 4-14 years of age.
It is a registered charity that provides support to Breakfast, After School and Holiday clubs that have play at the heart of their service to children and their families. Throughout the year they run a number of meetings to share ideas and discuss issues which are attended by setting staff, managers, committee members and Childcare and Business Advisors.
The meetings usually have a topic for discussion and resources are often offered to support the development of play.
Membership
WOoSH membership is automatic and is made up of out of school club staff and committee members. Meetings are held termly and usually last around 2 hours. The meetings cover a variety of subjects such as funding, recruitment, OfSTED as well as issues relating to managing an out of school club.
