Childcare Sufficiency Audit 2011

The Childcare Act 2006 placed a duty on local authorities to secure childcare for working parents. The first Childcare Assessment under this duty took place between January and March 2008. We commissioned the Get Sufficient Partnership to undertake the research. The documents listed, below, contain the statutory update for childcare provision for 2011.

  • Appendix 1 - Fastrack Project 2010 - 2011 [pdf / 547KB] This document contains the results of the research and gap analysis for Out of School provision specifically in Winnersh and the North of the borough. The work was carried out by 4Children on behalf of the early years, childcare and play team and utilised a period of free consultancy time available for sufficiency work.

  • Appendix 2 - Early Years and Childcare Group Provision responses 2011 [pdf / 94KB] This document contains the results from the surveys returned from group providers identified as offering early years and childcare on either a full day basis or sessional / extended care/wraparound care basis. These providers form the private, voluntary and independent sector and identify themselves in the main as Day Nursery or Pre Schools.
