Children with Additional Needs Family Fun and Information Day

This is an annual event for children with additional needs, their families and carers, and professionals who work with them.

Saturday July 3, 2010

This year's event is taking place on Saturday July 3, 2010 from 11am to 4pm at Highwood Primary School, Fairwater Drive, Woodley, RG5 3RU.

The day is organised by a group of representatives from Wokingham Borough Council's Children's Services and local voluntary sector organisations - ASD Family Help, Crossroads, Me2 Club, Peapods and Wokingham District Mencap. 

Entertainment

There is a variety of entertainment provided throughout the day for the whole family. This includes:

  • Children's entertainer Fred in the Shed - 11am to 1pm

  • Millers Farm Animals - 11am to 3pm

  • Circus Skills - 2pm to 3pm

  • Sports activities and competitions

  • Model railway

  • Face painting

  • Head massages for carers

 

And much, much more!

Information 

There are information and advice stands run by social care services, other council services and departments, and local support groups and organisations. They cover areas such as education, health, social care, play and leisure activities, childcare and family support.
