Wokingham District Local Plan - March 2004
The Wokingham District Local Plan was Adopted by the Council on 11 March 2004, in line with its decision on 29 January 2004.
Since this date was before 28 September 2004, the Council sought a Direction from the Secretary of State under Schedule 8 of the Planning and Compulsoury Purchase Act 2004 for some of the policies within the Local Plan to be saved after until 28 September 2007. The Council on 25 September received the response of the Secretary of State to its request to save policies. A copy of the Secretary of State's decision is attached below, together with the reasoning submitted by the authority.
A copy of the text of the Adopted Plan is attached at the end of this page, discounting the impacts of the Secretary of State's letter of 25 September 2007. Also copies of each chapter and the appendices are separately attached at the end of this page. The Local Plan Proposals Map is available online, however, due to the large amount of data: 12 MB, the speed of your internet connection will affect how easy it is to view this information. Mapping system guidance notes are available if this service does not work.
Copies of the Adopted Plan are available for £35.00 plus £5.00 postage and packing. If you would like to purchase a copy, please send a cheque for the appropriate amount - made payable to 'Wokingham Borough Council' to Diane McGloin in the Development Plans team.
A variety of documents produced by the Council during the development of the Wokingham District Local Plan are available through the links in the left hand menu.
