Research for the Wokingham Borough Local Development Framework

The Council produces a land use plan for the borough that says where different buildings, from homes to shops, offices, schools, leisure and health facilities may be built. As the current plan runs until 2006, the Council needs to start producing a new plan to last until at least 2016.

As the needs of the community should guide the type and location of development in the borough, the Council has undertaken a range of surveys to assess these views. The Council has also undertaken a survey looking a how trips for work, school and shopping vary depending upon where people live within the borough.

Analysis of the following surveys undertaken by the Council are attached at the end of this page:

Summary of consultations - LPS2-4
LPS2 - Results of New Homes Survey undertaken in July 2004
LPS3 - Results of Developing a Land Use Vision survey undertaken in October 2004
LPS4 - Results of Community Aspirations survey undertaken in October 2004.
LPS8 - Results of Core Strategy Initial Options Survey undertaken in June and July 2005

In addition, the authority has commissioned research to help inform the emerging Local Development Framework. Details of this information is available through the links in the left hand menu.
