The meeting of Council on 26 June 2008 agreed the submission Berkshire Minerals and Waste Core Strategy. The Core Strategy outlines the broad policy framework together with the scale and locations of development acceptable for minerals and waste in Berkshire. The submission stage is the final stage in the preparation of the document prior to its submission to the Secretary of State. Submission is due to take place later this year.
Consultation on the Initial Options for the Berkshire Minerals and Waste Core Strategy took place from 1 March to 31 March 2006. Further details on the consultation document can be found on the
Berkshire Joint Unit website.
The timetable for producing minerals and waste planning policy documents is included in the Berkshire Minerals and Waste Local Development Scheme. A copy of the Berkshire Minerals and Waste Local Development scheme can be viewed on our
