Project plan - local development scheme
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is a three year project plan which outlines every Local Development Document that the Council intend to produce over the next three years. These must be agreed by the Secretary of State in consultation with the Planning Inspectorate. The LDS also outlines which Local Plan Policies are to be saved until at least 28 Septeber 2007. The LDS is reviewed annually.
The Council produces two LDS. These are for general planning in Wokingham Borough and a one covering the whole of Berkshire for minerals and waste. Both LDS are attached.
The Council's Executive on 27 January 2005 agreed the first LDS covering the period 1 April 2005 to 31 March 2008. A revised second Local Development Scheme covering the period 1 March 2007 to 28 February 2010 was considered by the Council's Executive on 25 January 2007. Following this it was submitted to the Secretary of State for her consideration. The second revised LDS came into effect on 8 May 2007 following the approval of the Secretary of State.
A further LDS to cover the period from 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2011 was considered at the meeting of the Executive on 29 May 2008. Following changes, this LDS was agreed by the Secretary of State on 7 August 2008.
