Papers on the Submission Core Strategy for the 27 July 2006 Executive
The Council's Executive on 27 July 2006 considered a report on the Submission Core Strategy for the Wokingham District. The Executive deferred making a decision on this report until the meeting on 26 October 2006. The Executive meeting on 26 October 2006 did not consider a report on the Submission Core Strategy. A new timetable for the Core Strategy was agreed by the Executive at its meeting on 25 January 2007.
The Core Strategy will outline the broad policy framework together with the scale and locations of development acceptable in the district. This is based on applying the principles of sustainable development. The Core Strategy also indicates the overall requirements for development (including housing) from 2006 to 2026. The Submission Core Strategy is the final stage of consultation in the process to drafting the Core Strategy.
The Council's Executive on 27 July 2006 also considered a list of potential development sites. The Executive agreed publication of the list of potential sites for consultation from 30 August 2006. The Executive papers of 27 July 2006 for potential development sites are also available.
