Village Design Statements
Within Wokingham Borough, six Village Design Statements have been produced and approved as Supplementary Planning Guidance/Advice/Documents for considering planning applications. These are for Barkham, Hurst, Riseley, Sonning, Swallowfield and Wargrave.
Village Design Statements are being produced for Arborfield and Finchampstead. Further information on the Village Design Statement for Finchampstead can be seen on their website.
The Barkham Village Design Statement was adopted as a Supplementary Planning Document at the Executive meeting on 26 July 2007.
The Wargrave Parish Design Statement was adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance in Spring 1999.
The Swallowfield Village Design Statement was adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance at the Executive meeting on 29 January 2004.
The Sonning Village Design was approved as Supplementary Planning Advice at the Executive meeting on 14 October 2004.
The Hurst Parish Design Statement and the Riseley Village Design Statement were approved as Supplementary Planning Advice at the Executive meeting on 17 March 2005.
The Crowthorne (Pinewood) VillageDesign Statement were approved as Supplementary Planning Advice at the Executive meeting on 25 May 2006.
Copies of the Supplementary Planning Document/Guidance/Advice and associated Statement's of Consultation are attached at the end of this web page.
