Extensions to Countryside Dwellings SPG
Please see below the attached adopted Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) on "Advice For New, Replacement or the Extensions of Dwellings in the Countryside within the Wokingham District".
This guidance was adopted as SPG at the 27 March 2003 Executive following a period of public consultation period from 20 November 2002 until 10 January 2003.
The purpose of this supplementary planning guidance is to set out criteria for the principle of and design of extensions, or the replacement of and new dwellings in the countryside to give an idea of what might be acceptable in the majority of cases. This would give a degree of confidence to applicants, their agents and architects when submitting planning applications. It will also aid occupiers of neighbouring properties, and other interested parties, who may be affected by such a proposal.
In addition, a copy of the council's response to comments received during the consultation is attached.
