Green issues and sustainability
We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our activities, as well as providing quality services that meet the needs of residents.
Environmental policy
In order to maintain and improve the quality of life for our present and future communities, and contribute to the protection of the planet, we have developed an Environmental Policy.
The policy outlines our position regarding the importance of conserving the local and global environment and the actions that can be taken to ensure we work towards ensuring this happens.
Environmental action plan
In order to monitor and maintain the Environmental Policy areas of key importance have been defined in an Environmental Action Plan, which details activities, targets and progress.
Our commitment to tackling climate change was demonstrated when the our political and corporate leaders signed the Nottingham Declaration in December 2007.
