The front of your Council Tax bill shows the total amount to be paid and the amount and due date of each instalment.

Online, credit and debit card payments

We accept credit or debit card payments. Please note there will be a 1.5% charge made for using your credit card. From 1st April 2012 this will increase to 1.75%.  You can pay in person at our offices, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 2.00pm, at the payment kiosk situated behind main reception (which is closed between 4.15pm and 4.40 pm to enable payment processing to take place) or by telephone: 0845 303 9485. The telephone card payment service is available 24 hours a day or you can make a Council Tax payment online.

When you pay, please have the following details ready:

• Your Debit or Credit Card details
• Your Council Tax account reference number and
• Your payment details

 

Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the cheapest, safest and most efficient way to pay your Council Tax. We offer a choice of 3 payment dates to Direct Debit payers, the 1st, 10th, or 20th of the month.

Please ensure you write your Council Tax Account Reference Number in the required box on the Direct Debit form at the foot of this page.

Payment Kiosk

A payment kiosk is situated behind main reception at the Council Offices, Shute End for payment by cash, debit or credit card.  The kiosk is closed between 4.15pm and 4.40 pm each day to enable payment processing to take place.

Post Office & Payzone

If you wish to pay at a Post Office or a Payzone outlet please call us on 0118 974 6029 for a bar-coded key fob to enable you to make regular payments by this method.
