Difficulties paying your council tax

Council Tax is a priority debt, along with your mortgage or rent, gas and electricity. Non- payment of Council Tax could result in committal to prison or a petition for bankruptcy being made against you.

We are unable to offer independent help or debt support and you should contact one of the following organisations to receive independent, confidential advice. It is important that you continue to pay the monthly instalments or any agreed arrangement on your Council Tax.
