The Sustainable Environment Strategy 2010-2020 was adopted by us on 24th June 2010. It was developed in partnership with the Wokingham Sustainable Environment and Climate Change Partnership and sets out a vision, priority themes, and activities that seek to improve the local environment over the next 10 years and supports a sustainable future for Wokingham residents.
4 Strategic Priorities
The strategy focuses on delivering the following 3 strategic priorities:
Strategic Priority 1 - Engage - Raising awareness, fostering respect for our environment and changing behaviours
Strategic Priority 2 – Take action - Minimising waste, pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
Strategic Priority 3 – Prepare - Planning for the likely impacts of climate change and managing limited resources efficiently
