The Economic Development Strategy 2010-2013 was adopted by us on 25 March 2010. It was developed in partnership with the Wokingham Business, Skills and Enterprise Group andsets out a joint vision, priority themes, and activities that seek to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for residents in Wokingham over the next 3 years.
4 Strategic Priorities
The strategy focuses on delivering the following 4 strategic priorities:

Promoting innovation and enterprise - To develop a strong globally competitive economy by encouraging emerging technologies and innovation;

Enhancing skills and creating economic activity - To develop a workforce to meet the needs of both the local and global marketplace

Improving the vitality of the Boroughs towns and villages - To create better places for local employment, shopping and entertainment;

Maximising inward investment through a partnership approach - To work with other agencies in the area to a shared agenda to maximise resources and promote a competitive economy.
