Housing Strategy 2010-2013

At its meeting on 27th May 2010, the Council's Executive resolved that the Housing Strategy 2010-2013 be recommended to Council for approval. The Council will consider the strategy on 22nd July 2010. 

The Housing Strategy 2010-2013 sets our priorities for housing for the next three years.  It seeks to celebrate and build upon the successes achieved since the publication of our previous Housing Strategy in 2005.

The strategy focuses on delivering the following four strategic priorities:

1. Addressing our Housing Needs - To ensure that all households in the Borough can access well-designed, affordable and sustainable homes. 

2. Supporting Vulnerable People - To continue to enable vulnerable people to be self-reliant and live independently.

3. Tackling Homelessness and Housing Need - To prevent and provide for homelessness and be responsive to housing need.

4. Improving the Housing Service - Providing high quality, value for money services to our tenants.
