The long-awaited Finchampstead Community Centre - FBC Centre, officially opened in April, 2010. It includes some impressive new community facilities and services, including a purpose-built community centre, children’s centre, library, sports hall, café and other facilities such as a parish office and a local police base. It is also a place of worship for Finchampstead Baptist Church.

Library 

The library has excellent IT facilities including free internet.  The library is stocked with over 5,000 books to borrow as well as DVDs and talking books. And, a range of events and activities for adults and children take place on a regular basis.

How the centre has been funded

The £4 million-plus purpose-built centre has been made possible by Wokingham Borough Council donating the land (which was previously leased by Finchampstead Parish Council) to Finchampstead Baptist Church, enabling them to build a facility that has been long-awaited by the local community. Other partners include The Big Lottery Fund's Community Buildings Programme, Sport England, Sure Start and Finchampstead Parish Council.
