Inspire Wokingham: Living the Legacy* is encouraging all Wokingham borough residents who enjoy sport and would like a chance to win Olympic tickets, to become Sport Makers** and inspire their friends, family and colleagues or the local community to get involved in sport for 2012 and beyond.
Anyone interested is invited to attend a free, informal Sport Makers workshop aimed at providing advice and tools needed to make sport happen and become part of the official London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sports legacy on February 13, 6pm to 9pm at the FBC Centre, Finchampstead.
Beth Cutting, sport development manager at Inspire Wokingham, said: "Being a Sport Maker is a flexible, fun and rewarding way to be part of the official 2012 legacy. Simply register at Sportmakers.co.uk and come along to the workshop. If you decide to become involved, you willreceive an official Adidas kit have opportunities to meet top athletes and win some exciting rewards."
Ullakarin Clark, executive member for internal services including culture and sport, said: "I would like to encourage everyone to get involved in the 2012 legacy. Sports Makers is an easy way to meet other people interested in sport and develop new skills that could be useful in other areas of your life. You will also be making a difference to the lives of other people – and have a good time doing it."
