What is Looking Local?
Would you like to report fly-tipping or check when your bins will be collected all through your television, mobile phone or Nintendo Wii?
Well, through the Wokingham Borough Council Looking Local service you can do not only these things but also find out what’s happening in the Wokingham Borough, get advice on council tax and benefits, report a missed rubbish collection and much, more more!
The council is aware that whilst many residents are not broadband enabled they often have digital television or a smartphone. The Looking Local service allows us to provide online services to these residents, utilising their own TV set.
How to access Looking Local
Below you will find instructions on how to access the service across the variety of channels…
The Looking Local smartphone app can now be downloaded for the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch for free from the iTunes Store or for an Android phone from the Android Market.
Key to the smartphone app is the 'Report It' feature which covers everyday issues such as dumped rubbish, graffiti, potholes, etc. You can include a photo, location information and comments to help us resolve your issue quickly.
