Scrutiny offers an opportunity for residents to have a real input into local policy. One method is to submit an E petition for consideration by Councillors.
Submit a topic for discussion
Residents can also submit a possible review topic for discussion by the Overview and Scrutiny Committees/panels. This gives you the opportunity to outline the subject you would like to see discussed, as well as offering you the chance to give some supporting information relating to your topic.
If you would like to, we offer the chance to speak in support of your proposal, and we can offer help and advice. Guidance notes for Internal and External Witnesses can be found at the bottom of the page.
Once you have submitted a review topic, your item will then be considered. If it is not selected we will supply the reasons why it has not been taken forward.
