Citizen's Panel

About the Citizens Panel

Our Citizens’ Panel was set up in November 1999 by sending out letters to 10,000 addresses from the electoral register. The original panel numbered around 1800 local residents who were representative of the Borough and responded to surveys sent out during the year. Surveys are sent to the panel on a number of topics; asking opinions on a range of services including waste collection, transport, customer care. An annual Fear of Crime survey is also undertaken to look at resident’s perception of crime in their area.
