Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 requires all councils to be open with information.
The Act gives a general right of access to all types of recorded information we hold, sets out exemptions from that right and places various obligations on the Council.
It also means that we:
- Maintain a Publication Scheme
- Must inform anyone who makes a request to us for information whether we hold that information and supply the information unless there is an exemption for that particular information
For more details see the Information Commissioner's Office website.
| Area | Description |
| Publication Scheme | Find out more about and view our Publication Scheme |
| Search our documents | Search our documents for the information you require |
| Re-use of public sector information | Read our rules for re-use of information |
We make as much information as possible available free of charge. However some Publications have a cover charge. Where photocopies of documents are required, these will be charged for.
