Committees and Working Groups

The Council adopted new executive arrangements in relation to decision making on 6 September 2001, in accordance with the Local Government Act 2000. These brought to an end the collective responsibility of the committee system.

Decisions taken by the Executive can be scrutinised by the Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee or, if referred by the Management Committee, to one of the Overview and Scrutiny Panels.
