Children and young people's activities survey

All organisations working with children and young people are being invited to take part in this survey which is being carried out by Voluntary Action Wokingham Borough on behalf of Wokingham Borough Council and its partners under the Children’s Trust arrangements. We are gathering information about all the groups, organisations and clubs providing services or activities to under-25s in Wokingham Borough. We are also including those aimed at adults in their role as parents.

You can either complete the survey electronically or alternatively you can print off the pdf version at the end of this page and post it to Sarah Mayall.

Our aims

We plan to use the information you provide in this questionnaire in 2 ways:

To map the voluntary and community sector in Wokingham Borough: we will analyse the information provided by you and other organisations in order to understand the local sector as a whole and to identify any gaps in provision.
To collate a list of all services/activities/groups available to children and young people in Wokingham Borough: within this we will set out basic information about each organisation and make it available to members of the public in print, online or over the phone.

Collating this information centrally will benefit your organisation and its service users, as it will enable:

Members of the public to find you and use your services
Networking of like-minded organisations
Identification of your support and development needs
Recognition of your contribution to people’s quality of life

If you are a small, informal, user-led, volunteer-run or sparsely staffed organisation with little income, then we particularly want to hear from you. Organisations like yours are the heart of the voluntary and community sector but unless you participate in surveys like this, your activities will not be recorded and your contribution will not be widely recognised.
